who we are

Built on Faith, Driven by Love

You don't have to live life alone. Whether you're new or already walking with Jesus, you belong here.

Our Mission

To know, understand, and obey God, and to make Him known.

Our History

Our church was born more than a decade ago, when a small group of Hispanic families in Medicine Hat began meeting to pray, sing, and study the Word in their own language. What started in a borrowed room became a congregation that today meets at 1002 Yuill Street SE.

Over the years, God has added brothers and sisters from many Latin American countries, as well as Canadian friends who feel welcome. We have seen families restored, young people discover their purpose, and lives transformed by the gospel.

We continue to grow with the same conviction as the first day: to know, understand, and obey God, and to make Him known. You have a place here too.

What We Believe

Listen to Our Messages

We are a Hispanic congregation in Medicine Hat that gathers to worship, study the Word, and serve God and our community.

Our Statement of Faith

Basing our faith completely on the Lord Jesus Christ for our salvation, believing in the teaching of the Word of God and in these great principles set forth here, namely, we believe in:

The preeminence of Christ as our divine Lord and Savior, His Deity, His virgin birth, His sinless life, His death to pay the penalty for our sins, His bodily resurrection, His exaltation to the right hand of God, and His personal, imminent, and future return.

We affirm the Bible, with 66 books in the original scriptures, as the authoritative word of God, inspired by the Holy Spirit, the absolute point of reference for every aspect of life and ministry.

One God, and only one, who is self-existent, eternal, and infinite in every excellence, and who has revealed Himself in the Trinity as Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, the same in essence though distinct in personality.

Man was created in the image of God but fell through sin and, therefore, is guilty before God and under His condemnation.

Receiving salvation by grace, which is the free gift of God, through the death and resurrection of Christ, not by any virtue of man's works, but received only through personal faith in Jesus Christ.

The right of every Christian to read and interpret the Bible individually, in a personal relationship with God and under the Spirit of Truth.

The priesthood of all believers. Everyone has been given grace, gifts, and a personal calling to serve the Lord as part of the church.

The two biblical ordinances of baptism in the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit, practiced only as believer's baptism by immersion, and the Lord's Supper as a memorial communion for the redeemed, and an observance that He will return.

The complete independence of the local church and its interdependence in fellowship associated with other like-minded churches.

The personality of Satan as the open and declared enemy of God and adversary of man; and that he, the fallen angels, and unsaved humanity will be eternally punished in the Lake of Fire.

The spiritual unity of all believers, for whom Jesus prayed so fervently.

The absolute separation of Church and State.

Marriage is designed by God to be a lifelong covenant between a man and a woman. God hates divorce, but is merciful in forgiving and restoring. God instituted marriage for the mutual benefit of husband and wife, and as the foundation for building a family. God intends sexuality to take place only within marriage, and for the marriage bed to be blessed. A married couple should accept Jesus as head of the family. The roles of husband and wife are of equal importance, though not identical, as indicated in the Bible.

The power of the Holy Spirit is shown in us and through us for the fulfillment of Christ's final command: “Go into all the world and preach the good news to all creation.”

The family was designed by God. It is a priority to care for and promote strong family life and to help those facing family difficulties.

The Gifts of the Holy Spirit are special and necessary abilities given to Christians to fulfill the Great Commission of Jesus Christ and to build up the body of Christ.
